Laparoscopic surgery is one of the most frequent “styles” of bariatric surgery because it is minimally invasive and the recovery is fast. Laparoscopic surgery is also a gateway for robotic surgery, which is why most universities teach courses, that include practical experience, in laparoscopic surgery.
Do Universities Teach Doctors Laparoscopic Surgery
Well laparoscopic is the entry point of becoming a robotic surgeon, so otherwise some, there are some surgeons who still don’t, really refuse to become robotically trained because they just feel so much comfortable and doing it laparoscopically. However being a post-trained and post-surgical robotics person, I only think that robotics is the future of general surgery and bariatrics.
