While they might seem similar, laparoscopic and robotic surgery are not the same. They both can be used for bariatric surgery, but the biggest difference is that robotic surgery includes a specialized robotic technology and system which allows better visualization during the surgery and allows surgeons to sit down, which means less exhaustion during longer procedures. Still, laparoscopic surgery keeps providing great results, especially for highly experienced surgeons who decide to stick to the laparoscopic approach.
Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery
Laparoscopy surgery and robotic surgery are not the same, although the only same things or similar things that you might find is that we use trocars to enter into the abdomen. However, we also dock the system called DaVinci or the robot to the patients so that allows us to get, as I said, better visualization better results, and better results for the whole entire patients and their weight loss.
