What to Do if You Have a Weight Loss Stall?

Weight loss stall is often perceived as a bad thing during the weight loss journey. But the truth is, it is just a pause your body takes to adapt to the new condition is it in.

Reaching a weight loss plateau is actually a sign that your body is reacting to the new version of itself.

So give it time, and make sure you’re staying active and following your doctors’ and dietitians’ advice.

How to Overcome Weight Loss Stall

So the next question I’ve been getting is Dr. Choi, what do I do if I have a stall?

So a stall is actually not a bad thing. It’s just allowing your body to acclimate from all the weight loss that you already have completed.

There are three things that I would do to get by the stall:

  1. Rehydrate yourself and drink more water.
  2. Increase your protein intake.
  3. Exercise.

 

These things will help you go through your stall and overcome it.
