You can’t really say which surgery technique is better, laparoscopic or robotic because it depends on the surgeon. While some surgeons feel very comfortable with the laparoscopic approach, others might more like the robotic. In both cases, the results are great and the recovery process is fast.
Laparoscopic or Robotic Surgery
There really is no difference in saying which is better or which is worse. I believe that robotic surgery, in my opinion, is a better procedure because it allows me to see in a 3D fashion, whereas laparoscopic does not. In addition to that I’m allowed, robotic surgery allows me to get closer when I’m cutting and performing the sleeve gastrectomy so I believe I get better results for my patients.
